This 2-stage Doppelmayr/Garaventa D-Line 10-person gondola system replaced a Garaventa high-speed triple in 2020, in an extended alignment. This was also the first D-Line lift to use the Autonomous Ropeway Operation (AURO) system. Essentially, there is only one operator who oversees the operations of the lift. The operator primarily works at the midstation of this lift, and can see what happens at the other stations, thanks to cameras and sensors that monitor activity. This section runs from Tuftern to Tufternkumme, and the midstation is only used for loading and lapping the upper lift. The whole system has 56 cabins, and the first section has 9 towers. The entire lift was running at 1181 fpm (6 m/s). Recorded Dec. 28, 2025.
