"Lonely Snowfall" - Composed a week before Christmas in 1990 after a walk through my neighborhood looking at the festive lights while the crunching of fresh pure white snow support me. An idylic sceen at 3:00 am in the morning, ambient light reflecting off the new born snowfall, colored lights everywhere, and the white porch lights making it almost daylight. But I walked alone, and would spend Christmas alone this year...again. All my friends and family were not. For those who are living with or around those happy couples this time of year, I understand your pain, it can be so much more lonely when with people. Especially when those people around you have no understanding of you coming to another Holliday celebration alone.
