Only locals will know where to go to find this hidden winter wonderland. Located in the bushland of Eildon, Victoria. After our latest disappointing experience with Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, we sought out some real, natural snow - for free! It was the last weekend of Winter and we were lucky enough to see it in time. We are fortunate enough now to have an AWD vehicle that allows us to travel freely to places like this. At the time of uploading this video (it is currently September school holidays) there has been natural snowfall at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, but nobody can access the mountain to see it - as the resort is closed completely until "mountain bike season" returns. It's a real shame to see such gatekeeping locally.
