Coming Out Day Panel - Acceptance in minority communities

We celebrate international Coming Out Day, a day that emphasizes the moment in which gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer people (LGBTQ) come forward with their sexual orientation. This is their coming out. The goal is to create awareness and enlarge the social acceptance of this group of people. Luckily, most of the Dutch society is already aware of the experience of Coming Out and being gay for the Dutch white cis male. However, there's a world out there of people from other cultures or from minorities. This gives unique twists to their LGBT experience. This year we're organizing a panel in which persons with different backgrounds will tell us how their coming out experiences have been shaped by that.
