CDT Thru Hike Ep 23: Flagg Ranch to Old Faithful - "Yellowstone I: Bechler River Adventure"

Yellowstone I: Bechler River Adventure - In this episode of my Continental Divide Trail Thru Hike Documentary, Hopeful, Katie and I hike from Flagg Ranch to Old Faithful. It's a 55 mile hike over 2.5 days. At the end of this section is where we will finally rejoin the official CDT after being on our own alternate route for 26 days. Our route starts at Yellowstone's south entrance, and we hike the south boundary trail west to the Falls River Basin area. This section was wet and swampy. Apparently, there are no bridges in Yellowstone either. Excellent scenery along the Bechler River, which we follow to Gregg Fork, Firehlole River and end at Old Faithful. Along the Bechler river lies several huge waterfalls, including Colonnade Falls and Iris Falls, as well as a natural hot spring named Mr. Bubbles. Of course we stopped for a soak here!
