pt é urgente reflectir sobre os endeusamentos da revolução, da contra-revolução, e pensar que isso se trata de uma camada, de um concílio que o tempo e as plataformas trataram de establecer. a actividade paralela era tão ou mais importante, independentemente da sua visibilidade. torna-se, portanto, importante documentar e democratizar toda a informação circundante a essas páginas de histórias que carecem de alguma informação e/ou suporte. neste contexto, quando comecei a interessar-me por música de intervenção portuguesa, descobri uma vez uma canção chamada "Se Eu Tivesse Um Chicote", de um artista chamado Daniel. Nunca consegui saber o seu nome completo... Uma canção altamente leve, mas com uma carga pesada. E, que, pelos vistos, contornou censura/PIDE (embora certamamente lhe tenha dado problemas).... Sublimemente escrita, ecoa em cada ouvido que a ouça. Tremendamente tocada. Era, na altura, uma das poucas canções disponíveis para escuta de Daniel... e desde aí que fui tentando desvendar mais possibilidades de poder ouvir canções suas. Editou cerca de oito registos discográficos, entre singles e EP's. Disponibilizo aqui a soberba "Ceifeiro", última canção do EP "Meu Povo", lançado pela editora discográfica Estúdio em 1969. A canção é fruto de uma colaboração entre Daniel e Manuel Ribeiro Santos. O acompanhamento musical do disco é feito pelo Conjunto Flinstones e J. Pinto e Castro assume o piano. Parallel activity was just as important, if not more so, regardless of its visibility. It therefore becomes essential to document and democratize all the surrounding information about those pages of history that still lack sufficient detail and/or support. Wherever you be. In this context, when I began taking an interest in Portuguese protest music, I once came across a song called “Se Eu Tivesse Um Chicote” by an artist named Daniel. I was never able to find out his full name… A remarkably light song, yet carrying a heavy weight. And one that, apparently, managed to bypass censorship by the PIDE (although it certainly must have caused him problems). Sublimely written, it resonates in the ears of everyone who listens to it. Tremendously moving. At the time, it was one of the few songs by Daniel available for listening… and from then on I kept trying to uncover more opportunities to hear his work. He released around eight records, between singles and EPs. I share here the superb “Ceifeiro”, the final track on the EP “Meu Povo”, released by the record label Estúdio in 1969. The song is the result of a collaboration between Daniel and Manuel Ribeiro Santos. The musical accompaniment on the record is performed by the Conjunto Flinstones, with J.
