Before this, Anneke experienced abuse at the hands of her family’s cleaning lady, who later conspired with a relative to traffic her into an exclusive club where disturbing events took place. For years, Anneke endured severe abuse and torture, silenced by fear after witnessing the tragic fate of other victims. By the time she was 12, Anneke had survived some of the most horrific experiences imaginable. As a young adult, she lived in London, Paris, and New York before eventually settling in Los Angeles, where she began her healing journey through therapy, yoga, and meditation. Today, Anneke is the founder and Executive Director of Liberation Prison Yoga, a New York-based non-profit dedicated to supporting survivors. As a vocal advocate, she bravely shares her story—a powerful testament to resilience, hope, and the strength to heal.
