It stretches out unbroken for 6 km from the Alicante neighbourhood of Cabo de las Huertas to the town of El Campello. It’s also the traditional place to celebrate the famous San Juan night on 24 June. During this Christian festival the shores are transformed into a jaw-dropping constellation of bonfires. San Juan beach is also one of the 566 beaches in Spain with blue flag status, the highest international award to date. San Juan Beach is equipped with all kinds of amenities, and a promenade full of restaurant options, it also has areas for practicing different sports: beach volleyball courts, mini soccer goals, bio-healthy devices and of course, spaces for the practice of water sports such as wind surfing. La playa de San Juan de Alicante es también, el lugar tradicional de celebración de la famosa noche de San Juan ―24 de junio―. Durante esta festividad la orilla se transforma en una impresionante constelación de hogueras. Por si fuera poco, es una de las 566 playas de España que cuentan con bandera azul, el máximo galardón internacional hasta la fecha.
