Eric Boehm’s beautiful 50” free-flight model of the late 1930s DFS-230 German transport glider flying for the first time via hi-start at Wawayanda, NY on 8.1.23. This ship is a natural, releasing easily at the top after only a few attempts. The model is Eric’s own design. He also tried his 54” PBY Catalina from the Easy Built kit, but she wasn’t quite ready to chase after the DFS-230. Filmed by Tom Hallman using a Canon PowerShot SX20, and iPhone 11Pro & 14Pro.
