Baby bat rescued off power lines: this is Fandango

Fandango was noticed on her dead mum on power lines, when she started moving around a day or 2 after her mum was first seen on the lines. The local cafe owners called wildlife rescue and reported there was a live baby aboard. The energy company came and got her down. I thought Fandango had burns because her wings looked bubbly and wet and slimy. She was given analgesia and allowed to settle, then we looked at her together and rinsed off her wings with sterile saline. Fortunately it was just gunk on her wings and there were no burns. She is in care and is turning out to be a very relaxed snuggle bunny. Update: Fandango was released with the last creche release. She is a big healthy girl who should do well in the wild.
