Today I am going to bring to you the secret behind Lord Murugan and HIS Vel. We all know (from our puranas) that Lord Murugan or Subrahmanyan or Shanmugha, is the son of Lord Shiva and Parvathi. HE is the Hindu God of war. Atharva Veda describes him as ‘Agnibhuh‘, which means a form of fire or evolved from fire. He was born via surrogacy. The artificial environment should have appropriate temperature, air and fluid to survive. In this case, it was provided by Agni, Vayu and River Ganga respectively. The wives of Saptharshis were the surrogate mother and were raised or nursed by 6 mothers (constellation of 6 stars). The six Krittikas are Siva, Sambhuti, Priti, Sannati, Anasuya and Ksama. Kartikeya means "of the Krittikas". Lord Shiva is also known as Panchanana. Lord with 5 heads. Here it means Lord of Pancha Bhoothams or the five natural elements. Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Ether. When these 5 elements get united with Sakthi (pure consciousness), Lord Murugan was born. Shanmugha was the commander-in-chief of the Devas. His weapon is a spear called Vel or Sakthi. This should be considered as our brain and spinal cord or rather Skull and Backbone around them. The Vel in his hand means that he controls the nervous system which is connected to the brain and spinal cord. #LordShanmuga #LordMurugan #Kundalini #LordSubrahmanyan #Tarakasura
