Mana’o Radio is excited to join forces with Maui radio personality and community journalist, Trish da Dish, as we continue our mission of supporting live music on Maui and the musicians who make it thrive. Join us select Thursdays for our Facebook LIVE show called MANA’O@HOME! Each episode, rockin’ journalist Trish da Dish will present an hour-long talk story, interview, and live music experience featuring a respected Maui artist/band on the Mana’o Radio Facebook page stream. There will be a virtual tip jar for artists to allow Mana’o Radio friends and fans the opportunity to support their favorite artists while enjoying live music performed by some of Maui’s finest musicians in the comfort of their own home. Front row for all! This week on MANA’O@HOME we have multi-faceted music man Mark Johnstone on the online stage for a groovy talk story and live performance. Mark is a celebrated multi-instrumentalist, well known for his keyboard work with the Grammy-nominated Mick Fleetwood Blues Band and popular group, The Island Rumors Band. You may have experienced his slick skills on keys, vocals, guitar, harmonica, or leading his funktastic band, Wavetrain, who collaborated with the legendary DJ Logic. He's shared stages with the biggest names in the industry, dazzled in such music meccas as New Orleans, and stays humble and happy windsurfing, gigging and enjoying life on Maui. He's presenting the Mark Johnstone Trio (MJ Trio) with a few of his favorite groove maestros, bassist Marcus Johnson and drummer Paul Marchetti, as well as guest John Z on sax. Take a journey through jazz, soul, funk, blues, and so much more with the magnificent MJ Trio!
