You’re enjoying the strangest dream. In it your husband Crispin, The Bloodstained King, had swooped in to save you from an assassin, but only in time for you to lie dying of poison in his arms. The dream feels so realistic, but it can’t be real, he sounds desperate for you to live. It’s as if he truly loved you instead of the political marriage you both have grown to tolerate. But then, you hear his voice, telling you to wake up. Your body really does feel stiff, as if you were still feeling the effects of a poison. And why does the smug git sound so worried? Perhaps this wasn’t all a dream?
