Guardians of Montenegro is a documentary aimed to shed light upon the enormous population of stray cats in Montenegro and specifically around Kotor Bay and Budva.The documentary dig deep into the topic of stray cats with discussions on how to deal with the rising population of cats in the most human way 🐈 –––––– In September last year I got the brilliant idea of doing a volunteer contribution to support stray animals in Montenegro. The idea was born after watching a viral cat video on social media about cats in the historic city of Kotor. And at that very moment I was inspired to investigate myself and learn more about the stray cat situation in Montenegro. A couple of days later I launched a Kickstarter-campaign to raise money to realize this beautiful idea. Unfortunately, the project was not successfully funded so I had to make a decision whether to do go forward with it or move on to something else. So I made the decision to go and during the trip I met a bunch of amazing people that helped me out with connections, logistics and everything that goes into a successful video production. I'm super grateful and happy that I follow my intuition and went for it! This was actually my first time in Montenegro so I was really impressed by the beauty of the Adriatic Coast. I can really recommend it for roadtrips and nature adventures.
