Its steep charcoal-colored walls contrast sharply with the surrounding steppe, making it one of the region’s most underrated natural wonders. 🕳️ Charyn Canyon Next, we explore Charyn Canyon, often compared to a smaller sibling of the Grand Canyon. Its fiery red cliffs, sculpted towers, and the iconic Valley of Castles showcase millions of years of geological artistry. ⛰️ Altyn Emel National Park – Aktau Mountains We head straight for the Aktau Mountains—a landscape of layered white, red, pink, and ochre sediment that looks like it belongs on another planet.
