The Odin is manufactured by #TopBond, the company is new to the industry but they have an interesting approach. For instance, the Odin was designed in collaboration with members of the #FuckCombustion forum that gathers vaporizer enthusiasts. The Odin is cheap and a quite small hybrid conduction/convection vaporizer with a lot of cool features. It is very discreet as it resembles an e-cig box mod, so if you use it public most people would think it’s just that. The Odin utilizes a ceramic heating chamber and glass mouthpiece which results in great flavour, especially in the first part of your vape session with lower temps. The glass mouthpiece is removable and possible to store in a compartment located in the bottom of the unit for protection. What’s interesting, is you can adjust the airflow by opening/closing the lid of the mouthpiece compartment, it’s up to you if you prefer more free-flowing experience or maximal density of the vapor, so that’s another great feature. Overall vapor quality is very good, however the taste becomes a bit overcooked towards the end of the session. The chamber holds up to 0.3 grams of #herb, but the Odin works well even if you only pack 0.1 grams, which is cool. On the front of the unit there is a small OLED display that shows current battery status and allows you to adjust the temperature in 1-degree increments so you can customize your vapor even further. The whole unit is very easy to operate – you simply turn it on, adjust the temperature and the heating up process begins automatically. It heats up pretty fast – it only takes around 40 seconds to reach the desired temperature, so there’s no long waiting. The Odin is powered by internal 18650 battery that allows 50-60 minutes of continues use per single charge. The battery charges within 2 hours via a micro-USB port, which is very convenient – you can charge it with your laptop, phone charger or even a powerbank when on the go. As with every other vaporizer, the Odin has some downsides, too. What I’d like to see is a user-replaceable battery, but unfortunately that’s not the case with the Odin. The glass mouthpiece is quite easy to break when dropped, so be careful. Luckily, you get a spare mouthpiece included in the set. Also, I’d like the casing to be metal instead of the plastic. On the other hand, the Odin performs really well, is super easy to use, delivers good quality vapor that gets the job done and the whole unit is pretty cheap at the same time. Overall, it is very solid beginner vape and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with it. So go get yours today!
