We bartered for a paddock find 80 Series LandCruiser with 540,000 km on it, no service history, and a gearbox with serious issues… and exactly two days to get it road ready. What could possibly go wrong. This old girl has been sitting in a paddock for years while the owner tried to decide if it was worth spending the money to get it back on the road. In the end he didn’t want the hassle, so he bartered it to Gary as payment for a job. Now it’s our problem. In this episode we drag the 80 home and try to work out if we’ve scored a bargain or money pit.
