Shocking! Another Hindu man, Amrit Mondal, beaten to death in Bangladesh over extortion allegation

Another Hindu man was beaten to death in Bangladesh by a mob over an extortion allegation, days after Dipu Chandra Das was lynched. According to the local daily, The Daily Star, Amrit Mondal, also known as Samrat, was lynched to death on December 25. The incident took place at Hosendanga village of Kalimohor union in Rajbari's Pangsha upazila on December 24. Meanwhile Bangladesh Interim Govt has issued a statement and said the incident was not related to communal violence. The statement further alleged that Amrit Mondal alias Samrat was "accused" in several serious criminal cases. Earlier, India on December 24 summoned the Bangladesh’s High Commissioner for the second time in a week. The summons came after the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district over blasphemy allegations.
