I'm still in the southern part of Davao Oriental, in Banaybanay and Mati, on another random adventure. In Mati, there is a 35-strong community at Amihan sa Dahican, who are taking care of sea turtle (pawikan) eggs and hatchlings from human predators. This inspiring operation takes place on a very up-and-coming beach on Davao Oriental's coast, and has helped maintain the natural beauty of the area. I also haven't been to my friend Bill's fishpond for a few months, so I thought I'd check in. He had a similar experience to me late last year when his pond flooded!
