I was recently told I shouldn't use a Kemper to review a budget guitar as it makes it sound good. The "average" amp these days is a great sounding piece of equipment. Today, I used only free plugins to make a good tone. I used the STL Tones Ignite Amps Emissary, the NadIR Loader with Glenn Fricker's Engl v30 Free IR and the Voxengo Stereo Touch plugin. I also used Reaper which can be used for free and the Reagate Noise gate plugin which is free as well. The guitar is my ESP LTD SC200 with Seymour Duncan JB and a Focusrite 2i4 interface.
