" Violence erupted at Singhu border on Friday as anti-farmer protesters clashed with farmers on Friday afternoon. The police resorted to lathi charge and lobbed tear gas shell to control the situation. Several policemen and protesters have been injured in the clashes. This comes after locals staged a protest against farmers on Thursday demanding their removal from Singhu border, complaining that the two-month-long agitation has made their daily commute difficult. A group of over 200 people threw stones and vandalised tents erected by farmers at the Delhi-Haryana border in Singhu. Two police personnel were injured, one of them by a sword. Two people have been detained. some masked goons were also seen at the singhu border amid the stone pelting. It is unclear how the large group of people managed to enter the site of the farmers' protest despite the area being blocked by the police. The people who entered the protest site also tried to vandalise other infrastructure such as farmers' washing machines, demanding that the farmers vacate the protest site.
