Behind every curious mind and confident step of a child is a mother who tirelessly nurtures, teaches, and guides them through their life. This Teachers’ Day, along with P&G , we are celebrating Mothers who have been playing the role of their children's first and most dedicated teachers even before they enter school. From learning new skills themselves to creating fun, innovative ways to teach, they never shy away from the challenge. Pratham and #PGShiksha understand this crucial role mothers play in shaping their children's foundational skills. Therefore, as part of our Early Childhood Education program, we engage mothers to help develop essential motor, cognitive, social emotional, language and creative skills in children, to help set them up for a fast-paced growth as they begin their education journey. In 2023-2024, this initiative has engaged over 4.5 lakh mothers and impacted nearly 7.5 lakh children across the country through thousands of mothers' groups. Pratham’s mothers' groups provide a supportive community where mothers are equipped with essential tools, resources, and training to actively engage in their children's education. Through regular meet-ups, these groups enable mothers to nurture their children's learning journey at home.
