Happy #NOTLATE New Year 2018! I had several different ideas, with 3 different songs, but they all flopped because I forgot I'm terrible with raw editing. I don't know how any of you raw editors do it seriously... lol my videos end up looking boring. It's 2018, my first video for this year and I want to reflect on my past years of editing up to now... this is gonna be a self-indulgent description (assuming nobody will read this, so if you do, THANKS!) When I first heard this song in 2012, I was editing an MEP part for xKatnip, that's how I started editing games, Kingdom Hearts specifically. I also met amazing people in the GMV community, which I'm still friends with today. I closed my account because I got a bit tired of editing, but I didn't have the heart to delete my files. Then I created this account in 2014. I started edited again, but occasionally died off every couple of months. I TRIED getting a social life, but lots of things changed and I forgot about editing until like last year. (My time interval for my videos were 2 years to 11 months ago) *Note to self: don't ever be social again. When I came back, I thought editing was officially dead and nobody really bothered watching GMVs anymore. Everyone either closed their accounts, haven't uploaded in years or moved onto other fandoms and GMVs were outdated. I had videos, but deleted it all and stopped editing again. Until I uploaded 'Grab the Moment' that's when everyone commented, I met more amazing editors and I thought, maybe editing isn't dead after all. Looking back to 2012-2018, lots of things obviously had changed, but I kinda miss the excitement of going home, talking to my editing group on Skype. Today, I see editors dedicating videos for each other and I'm a bit jealous, not that there aren't videos for me, but me making videos for them. Although there were interactions, it's mostly just commenting on their videos, that's practically it. xD I can't really complain though, I did have the honor of being able to participate in MEPs and collabs! Hopefully this year, I'll be able to talk to more people, edit lots of videos and do more MEPs, you know, just edit in general. OH and edit raw better because... well... Thanks to my old friends: Axel, Ally, Dion, Jenny, Dare, Ludo and Mel for keeping in touch with me, still. And of course, to Momo, Mae, Kyle, AltDeku, caelestis, fairisse and oliver for constantly writing amazing comments on my videos. Thanks for my Tumblr friends who put my blog in their Follow Forever posts. And THANKS FOR 550+ SUBS!
