Playing through the full Story mode of Double Dragon IV on PS4 as Billy Lee, single player. Would have only had to use the sort of hidden Option-button continue feature (on the main menu, press the Option button with the Story menu item highlighted to cycle through a list of stages to continue from) once on this play-through, except then it crashed midway through that elevator-heavy area in mission 10. Captured on film (at about 56:05 )! : D My beat-em-up playlist:    • smbhax's Beat-'Em-Up adventures!   Still, while far from perfect, this is actually one of the better Double Dragon games--and this is coming from someone who played the original quite a bit back in the arcade, who has the arcade I and II on PS4 now, has the GBA one (oh that's a good one, if a bit different in feel), and has II on PC Engine (*that* one is really really good!). IV certainly has the spirit of the old NES ones, but with improvement in a lot of areas, actually. Enemies do rather gang up on you after knocking you down, though--must be payback for all those cheap elbows. ]_] But when they're all looming over you, it's pretty sweet how you can wake up with uppercut. ; D Also, spin kick combos into uppercut! : ooo So cool. Ooh! Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_... ) says Yoshihisa Kishimoto, creator of both the Kunio and Double Dragon series for old Technos Japan, is the Director of this latest installment. Also, the original Double Dragon "character designer, composer, and programmer" were on board with him. That explains why it has that weird old beat-em-up spirit. : D Now Tower mode unlocks after beating Story mode.
