Tin can vapour phase oven for soldering SMD components

I made this vapour phase oven to solder the SMD parts on my boards. Very simple but extremely efficient. The same technology as used by the professionals. This oven was featured in the October edition of DIYode Magazine Note: As the temperature is controlled by the liquid, the time is not as critical as I might have made it sound. For the shape and size of my oven, I've found that 10 min is sufficient for the first board. if I then continuously run production (immediately after removing board, I set it going again) I can get away with an 8 min cycle - as everything still has residual heat in it. This will differ from oven to oven, but the risk of burning the board is much lower than with any other soldering method. You can just stick with 10min cycles and it should be fine.
