Debuting in September of 2024, Reach for the Stars is Tokyo Disneyland’s newest nighttime spectacular. This show is the successor to Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland that ended its run in early 2019. Reach for the Stars brings beloved characters to life as they reach for the stars in pursuit of their dreams, unveiling the limitless possibilities that await them. Fun Facts: This show required small pipes around the forecourt to be added to give the illusion of Cinderella Castle floating on a blanket of clouds. This show doesn’t utilize certain effects that were present in Celebrate! Tokyo Disneyland such as water fountains and lighting on trees around central plaza. Originally Winnie the Pooh and Marry Poppins were to have their own segments in the show, but were cut before the show’s debut. However, they are both featured in the show’s finale. This marks the first time Marvel characters make an appearance at Tokyo Disney Resort. As we know, Universal used to hold the rights to the franchise and up until last year, Universal Studios Japan had the presence within its park in their now-defunct ride “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man”.
