8/24/15: The Mets put together one of the most explosive offensive performances in franchise history, setting a team record by blasting eight home runs in a single game against the Philadelphia Phillies. David Wright got the power surge started with a home run in the 2nd inning, followed by Juan Lagares going deep in the 3rd. The Mets really opened the floodgates in the 4th inning when Wilmer Flores and Travis d’Arnaud went back-to-back. Flores struck again in the 5th inning, this time joined by Michael Cuddyer as the Mets launched two more homers in the frame. Daniel Murphy added to the onslaught with a home run in the 6th, and Yoenis Céspedes put an exclamation point on the night with a long ball in the 9th.
