Seven Acres 2023 Gala

We will gather at the Hilton Americas-Houston to celebrate not only being together again but to honor Susie and Scott Bender with the Joyce Proler Schechter Spirit of Life Award. This award recognizes individuals for their long-term community service performed with the highest integrity. Susie and Scott have shown their devotion to Seven Acres and our residents as longtime supporters and together chaired our 2005 gala. Susie served on the Seven Acres Board of Trustees as Vice President for more than eight years. They have also left their footprints throughout the community by supporting local philanthropic endeavors such as the Cattle Baron’s Ball, Dress for Success, and St. John’s School, where together they chair the Grandparents Committee and Scott serves on the advancement committee. They also support Meals on Wheels, Hadassah, Women’s American ORT, and are members of Congregation Beth Yeshurun. Susie has held leadership positions with AIPAC, having served as chair of AIPAC Houston, and is currently serving as AIPAC Houston pro-Israel political chair and as an active member of AIPAC’s national board. It is truly and honor and a privilege to recognize this powerful couple for the difference that they are making!
