With a slender body and two pairs of transparent wings, damselflies are agile fliers often found near bodies of water like ponds and streams. They are known for their vibrant colors, ranging from blues and greens to reds and yellows. Damselflies are skilled hunters, preying on smaller insects in mid-air. Unlike dragonflies, damselflies usually rest with their wings folded together. These charming insects play a role in controlling insect populations and are a common sight in aquatic environments during the warmer months.
