A short video on how I process and collect 18650 lithium ion (li-ion) batteries for use in other projects such as for an electric bike or vehicle. This is a fun process plus it is good for reusing and up-cycling old technology The outer casing of the laptop battery is removed and cell arrangement pulled out, then cells are split apart to be cleaned up (removing stickers, spot welded tabs, etc.) This takes some time and once you have a handful of cells, this awesome Opus BT-C3100 Charger can test them to determine their usability for other applications (tests initial voltage and storage capacity in mAh.
