Michael J. Pollard, ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ & ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ Actor, Dies at 80 November 22, 2019 – Musician and Director Rob Zombie announced the new this morning on Facebook, “We have lost another member of our ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ family. I woke up to the news that Michael J. Pollard had died. I have always loved his work and his truly unique on screen presence, He was one of the first actors I knew I had to work with as soon as I got my first film off the ground. He will be missed.” Pollard was born in 1939 in Passaic, N.J. His first gigs were in television in the late 1950s with shows like “Lost in Space” and “Star Trek,” but his big breakthrough came with the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde that starred Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in the lead roles and Pollard as the C.W. Moss, the accomplice-turned-snitch. He was nominated for borth an Academy Award and BAFTa for that part. He went on to acts in hundreds of projects including, “Dirty Little Billy,” “Melvin and Howard,” “Roxanne” and “Tango & Cash.” In 2003 Pollard starred in Zombie’s cult film “House of 1000 Corpses.” His very last role was in 2012's “The Woods.” Larry Karaszewski, Producer for the movie, “Dolemite Is My Name” tweeted.“ Michael J. Pollard was one of a kind. Made every film he was in better. You sat up and took notice,” Larry “I met him once on the street in Beverly Hills and tried to pay him a compliment. He growled at me. In the '80s Beaudin was the host of the syndicated radio show “The Cross Canada Report” which had two versions (Rock and A/C).
