Before designing anything, a real designer must first identify: Who the user is What they are trying to achieve What frustrates them This session introduces interns to practical user research thinking and problem-based design. 🎯 Task 3 Overview Step 1 – Pick a Target User Choose someone who regularly uses an app (friend, classmate, family member). Step 2 – Ask 3 Simple Questions Who is the user? What app do they use daily & why? What frustrates them while using it? Step 3 – Summarize the Finding Identify the pain point clearly. Step 4 – Suggest a Redesign Based on the problem, redesign or improve the interface. 🎨 Design Constraints (Mandatory) Use only 2 font families Use maximum 2–3 colors Mobile frame (Android or iOS) Same spacing system across screens No copied layouts Maintain consistency between screens 📚 What Was Covered in Class? Detailed discussion on Typography hierarchy Color psychology & color balance Proper spacing & layout system UI maturity & clarity Importance of white space Moving from “making screens” to “solving problems” 💡 Why This Task Matters In real-world products, designers rarely design just one screen.
