For me specially to Georg Scholl and Bernd Siehoff. These both individuals inspired me. Georg Scholl 08.05.2015 (Father, Husband, Lover, Musician, Creator of Words, Schizophreniac Bernd Siehoff 14.03.2019 (Father, Husband, Lover, Painter, Printer, Calm Soul, Alcoholic My father always wanted to have a painting from Bernd. But Bernd always denied to give one to my father. Meaby he wanted him to wait for the perfect timing or something else, I never know. In Summer 2010, I was skating close to the studio from Bernd, I had a break and he stopped by for a chat. We had a a beer and he gave me a tour through his gallery, he talked about his paintings, I was amazed by the words he choose to explain his work. After this quick tour he invited me to his house, we jumped in his old grey/black VW truck and got into his house. There was his new collection, of his intepretation of the French Revolution, three prints. He said " you choose, the one you take the one is yours. I was nervous, I wanted to act like my choice was hard, to give respect to all of the prints. In the first second I knew which print I loved the most . He saw that. He put on a record of Captain Beefheart and he opened all the windows to the garden. We were sitting outside, been quite for a while, meaby for me as an eighteen year old boy, it was a longer moment then for him. Then he said "Captain Beefheart, Felix, he turned the Blues upside down " 7 PM I got home with the rolled up print underneath my arm, I knew something was right. After my father passed away Bernd gave me the print thats now our cover artwork for Who Forgot and This Magic Lasts. I don't know much about the friendship they had when they were youngsters. When my papa first introduced me to Bernd I felt a special attention, that my father gave him, something that's more then respect or sympathy.
