This recording is the demo recording of the Glitter Band's first single, Angel Face, Written by Gerry Shephard and John Rossall. It was recorded in late 1973 as the band started working on their own career, without GG, playing their own shows and working on recorded material for potential single and album release in 1974. The song went through some alterations, notably the refining of the rolling snare drum sound, guitar riff and lyrics, to end up with the song that we are all familiar with and which hit number 4 in the UK charts in April 1974.
