Guest Artist - Trio Opus 3M

Featuring: Jerrode Marsh, Piano Lorraine Miller, Flute Gary Moege, Horn With a combination of instruments that is colorful and dynamic, Trio Opus 3M offers listeners a musical experience that covers a range of musical styles. Original works for piano, flute, and horn are somewhat new to the chamber music world, that traditionally includes ensembles such as string quartets, woodwind quintets, and piano trios. Many of the compositions for the trio are modern, but transcriptions of works from earlier eras sound fresh and meaningful when performed in this setting. A concert by Trio Opus 3M includes not only piano, flute, and horn trio music, but also features solo pianos works and duets for flute and horn. Trio Opus 3M was officially formed in the spring of 2024, after the members realized how much they had been enjoying their musical collaboration. They wanted to share the great music no only of their individual instruments, but also to introduce new transcriptions and original works for this combination of instruments to the public. In addition to Concordia, they most recently performed in Warrensburg, Washington, and Cole Camp, Missouri. They look forward to learning and sharing much more beautiful music with their listeners.
