Open Science by Design: Realizing a Vision for 21st Century Research

This is part three of a six-part series of webinars sponsored by FASEB, the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). The series focuses on discussing the major findings, implications, and recommendations from the 2018 NASEM reports on the biomedical and medical workforce. The reports covered a broad range of issues in scientific education, research, and training. This webinar will review the key report findings while also focusing on the implementation of two essential recommendations: 1) creating a culture that actively supports open science and 2) training students and other researchers to implement open science practices effectively. This webinar will also feature examples of institutional implementation of the recommendations.
