An enormous Arctic air mass outbreak hit the United States, setting record cold temperatures across the country. Where I live was not spared. Deadly cold came for my garden, and I couldn't protect it because I was on vacation. My garden and fruit trees took the full force of the severe cold weather, and this is what happened. This cold event put my cold protection methods to the test. I did my best to prepare for cold weather in advance, but I could not be there to monitor the conditions.
