E não mirares em teu pensamento. Se puderes encontrar-te ao Triunfo e Desastre, E tratar tais impostores com intento. Se puderes aguentar. Em ouvir a verdade que falares. Torcida com revez para armadilhar os tolos. Ou veres quebradas as coisas pelas quais se sacrificou. E inclinar-te. E reconstruí-las com desgastadas ferramentas Se fizeres um monte. Provindo de tuas vitórias e arriscá-las em um só arremesso. E errar. E começares novamente do princípio. E nunca cobiçares a mencionar tuas derrotas. Se forçares teu coração, teus nervos e tendões. A serví-los, muito depois de não mais existí-los. E então mantiverdes em ti o que nada resta Exceto a vontade que lhes dizem: "Espere!" Se puderes falar com platéias. E mantiveres tua virtude.
