Golden Blown Trees.. Floating cup technique.. Acrylic paint pouring art This was the first time I had used these Modern Masters metallic paints together in a pour painting.. I used the Gold.. Nickel.. and pink quartz and added Colorshift black gold flash. My base coat was Rustoleum Metallic Accents in Silver.. All paints were mixed with only Floetrol and water.. These paints were perhaps a little too thick for this technique.. I layered the paints in a small paper cup. .flipped it and poked a small hole in the cup to let the paint release.. The pink colour did not appear.. and I used shmears to create lines and movement in this piece. I hope I inspired you to try something a little different.. I love the whole process if painting.. mixing .. watching the paint move.. I find it very relaxing.... If we can let go a bit.. we often find out something about the paints and how they behave.. and that leads to some interesting results..
