An evening of architectural discourse, reflections on pedagogy and thoughts on the intersection of Gender, Space and Architecture was on the agenda for Avani students and faculty cohort yesterday. We had renowned architects and academic practitioners, Shilpa Ranade and Quaid Doongerwala of DCOOP Architects, Mumbai for the fifth instalment of the Avani Lectures and Workshop Series, 2019-2020. The students got an insight into how architecture can be a social catalyst in bridging connections through a look at their housing projects such as housing for industry workers at Vashind, Mumbai.
