Village Life in Nicaragua’s Poorest Region: Northern Autonomous Zone

I wanted to explore a very remote village in the middle of nowhere in Nicaragua. My plan was to head to a small village that I saw on Google Maps called "El Toro". The villages in the center of Nicaragua are far off the tourist trail so this was undiscovered territory. What was life like? How much did they make? What interesting relics could I find? I started out my journey in a city called Rio Blanco, which is right in the center of the country. Then took a chicken bus to the rural countryside where I brought my foot down into El Toro. I walked around a bit and met a family who showed me around....the hospitality of Nicaraguans.
