https://ozinflatablekayaks.com.au/sho... I think the Crewfit Sport is perfect for kayaking, BUT I’ll admit, it’s not for everybody and I’m going to explain why. The Crewfit is an inflating life jacket. There is a single-use carbon dioxide cannister that erupts when you pull hard on the toggle, inflating the jacket so it bursts through the zippers. It has a very high level of buoyancy - 165 newtons, in fact, so it is very safe and suitable for open water, BUT... it is not instantly buoyant. If you are not confident in the water and you want a PFD that will give you instant buoyancy (without having to pull a toggle), a foam life jacket would be a better choice. Having said that, I absolutely LOVE the Crewfit Sport inflatable lifejacket for kayaking, because it is so cool and comfortable to wear. There is no bulky foam keeping you hot and sweaty, it is so streamlined. There is no interference with the kayak seat, because there's just a strap across your back, no bulky foam. The way it sits around your neck means you have total freedom of movement for kayaking. Note that there is maintenance required - you need to blow it up with the mouthpiece every year and leave it for a few hours, to make sure there are no holes, for example.
