So we finally got to the mother plantations of our favorite Rize tea. We had no idea how beautifully green Turkey can be even in October. We hiked a dramatic path under the Kaçkar mountain to the amazing glacial lakes. On the way, we encountered local dogs guarding flocks of sheep. Well, we only narrowly escaped. And in one restaurant we encountered a very strange ritual.
