1978's "Annabella" by Craig Fuller & Eric Kaz is another one of those great songs I feel was an overlooked gem and deserves to be heard again. Craig Fuller had gained fame as the lead singer for Pure Prairie League on their 1970's classic "Amie". Eric Kaz was a top notch songwriter who had been a member of the '60s band The Blues Magoos and whose best known compositions "Love Has No Pride", written with Libby Titus and "Cry Like A Rainstorm" were recorded by Linda Ronstadt and others. Together they formed a mid '70s band called American Flyer, releasing two albums, before releasing a 1978 album simply titled "Craig Fuller Eric Kaz". The album never received much promotion by the record company and the single release of "Annabella" received very little airplay and was not considered a hit record. However , it is a poignant country rock ballad, similar to material by the Eagles, James Taylor and others, and is truly worth another listen.
