Commissioned by Mexican car collector Carlos Peralta for himself and his sons, Juan Carlos and Nicolas, this exclusive creation pays homage to a legendary design from the past. The inspiration for this monolithic coupe comes directly from the 1971 Maserati Boomerang, the visionary concept car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. With its iconic wedge shape, the Boomerang influenced the design of numerous sports cars in the following decades, and today, its spirit is revived in the Peralta S, reinterpreted with cutting-edge styling solutions. The Peralta S completely breaks away from the aesthetics of modern supercars, embracing a radical design language inspired by Giorgetto Giugiaro’s masterpieces. Its most striking feature? The bodywork consists of three polished aluminum panels seamlessly integrated with the windows, creating the desired “monolith” effect. There are no traditional doors; access to the cabin is through a single, large central panel—the “dome”—which incorporates the windshield and lifts in one piece. The side windows, on the other hand, can be opened individually with a gullwing motion. The monolithic design extends to the silhouette, characterized by a continuous line from the front to the rear, interrupted by only two sharp angles. Even the headlights remain hidden beneath the bodywork, almost invisible when the car is stationary. Beyond the polished aluminum surfaces, certain elements of the Peralta S are made from exposed carbon fiber, including the front spoiler, rear diffuser, and side skirts. Active aerodynamics play a crucial role, with movable surfaces adapting to speed: the large rear spoiler, hidden when the car is off, rises while driving, while the side ventilation panels open automatically to improve cooling for the mid-mounted engine. Inside, the Peralta S combines modern materials with a distinct 1970s influence. The seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and door panels are upholstered in metallic chrome-effect leather, creating a striking visual impact. The design remains minimalist and functional, featuring steering wheel-mounted controls, ergonomic seats, and a streamlined central console. While its design is revolutionary, its mechanical components remain true to the Maserati MC20. The Peralta S retains the carbon fiber monocoque and the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine producing 630 hp, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. Performance figures include a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.9 seconds and a top speed exceeding 325 km/h.
