We discuss the recitation of Baqarah & Āl ʿImrān & the context of reading the Maghāzī. Someone leaked the news of the marching of the army in secret, but nothing is a secret from Allāh and His messenger ﷺ. They were caught and dealt with. The army of 12,000, massive by Arab standards, managed to get within striking distance of Makkah due to their tight discipline. There was a list of four who were not to be granted amnesty: we discuss what they had in common and why they were exempted. The Muslims made a show of force, and through it, ironically prevented violence, as the projection of strength is one of the most potent guarantors of peace.
