It was surprising to us that he would come in such bad weather to the nest. Clive stayed and hunkered down in the nest. Last we saw before the cams went down he was still there. Prayers for Clive and all those in Florida. ✿ Cam Links: Window To Wildlife Youtube / windowtowildlife 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐞e The nest tree is approximately 75 feet off the ground and 6 feet wide in an Australian Pine Tree on private property and inaccessible to the public. The nest has been around since 2007 and originally was an Osprey nest On September 28 2022 the original nest was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. A new nest was built by Window To Wildlife in the original nest tree. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 Connie and Clive are the resident Eagles here and have been together since the fall of 2021. Together Connie and Clive have had 3 Eaglets, Cal, Lusa, and Connick. 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐3-𝟐𝟎𝟐4 Cal and Lusa were the two eaglet hatchlings this season. Cal went on to fledge but Lusa passed away that season from unknown causes 💖 Soar High and Be Free Our Sweet Lusa 💖 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 Connick was eaglet hatchling this season and Connie and Clive's first eaglet together. On April 4 2023 Connick fell off the nest. It was observed that Connick was losing flight feathers before the fall and the loss of feathers was most likely the cause. Connick was rescued by CROW and SCCF and eventually placed in the care of Audubon Center where Connick still resides today. 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 Two eggs were laid this season but neither one hatched. Possibility of being infertile due to lack of mating time 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 In 2009 it was observed that a pair of Eagles had taken over the Osprey nest. Until 2017 when new owners took over the property the nest was not actively monitored. Cams were installed in 2018 for the property owner's private use and in 2020 the cams were streamed to the public for the first time. Season 2021-2022 the cams went live again but under the partnership with Window to Wildlife and CROW which is currently the same. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐞 Connie and Joe were the pair that took over the Osprey nest in 2009. In February 2021 Joe got into a territorial battle. Joe was injured in the battle and shortly after disappeared. As to what became of him is unknown. Connie and Joe had a total of 8 eaglets hatch since the new property owners purchased the property. As to how many eaglets Connie and Joe had prior is unknown to me. 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 2 Hatched - Named: Peace And Hope - Both passed away from Rodenticide poisoning. 💖 Soar High and Be Free Peace & Hope 💖 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐦 𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 2019-2022 - 2 Hatched - Named: Cap And Tiva - Both Fledged 2018-2019 - 2 Hatched - Named: Yo Yo And Ma - Ma Passed Away - Yo Yo Fledged 2017-2018 - 2 Hatched - Not Named - Both Fledged Video Capture is from the Live Webcams provided by Window to Wildlife © 2024-2025 Window To Wildlife
