After reading four chapters of “Robo en la noche” by Kristi Placido, Spanish 2 students worked in teams to draw pictures describing a character in the novel, assigned for each team by me, the teacher. Students brainstormed ideas to remember the information about each character without the help of the book. Then, each group presented the information to the whole class. After presenting, the audience asked questions about that character to find out information that either the team didn’t cover, or to go more in depth with what was provided. This was a very relaxed and laid back way to review important information and have students test their communication skills at their own level. It went much better than I thought it would!
