With Dr. Karen Wong Riff, Surgeon-Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto Based on a sample of almost 2500 patients in 12 countries, and shaped by engagement with 44 clinical experts, the CLEFT-Q provides clinicians and researchers with the ability to document patient-reported outcome measurement in 3 overarching domains: Appearance, Facial Function, and Health-Related Quality of Life. Please join Dr. Wong Riff in exploring how CLEFT-Q is assisting cleft professionals in implementing an evidence-informed approach to cleft care, as well as discussing a comparison of outcomes from low-middle income countries (LMIC) and high-income countries (HIC). Dr. Wong Riff’s clinical practice focuses on cleft surgery and microsurgery. Her research program includes development and implementation of patient-reported outcome measures, and she is co-developer of the CLEFT-Q and FACE-Q Kids, both Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) funded studies. She is cross-appointed to the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. Dr. Wong Riff is a member of Transforming Faces' Medical Advisory Committee.
