A message from the Mayor of Biberach
The 23rd April 2020 was the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of camp Lager Lindele near Biberach where many of those Guernsey people who were deported during the Occupation were detained. Like Guernsey itself, this camp was liberated only just before the end of the war in Europe. In recognition of the bonds of friendship and reconciliation between the two communities the Bailiff sent a message to the Mayor and citizens of Biberach and the Mayor of Biberach has kindly recorded this message for the people of Guernsey on our Liberation Day.
